Initial Evaluation: The initial evaluation is the session when we get to know you by taking detailed history of your concerns and conditions. We perform several assessments, which may include posture, body mechanics, muscle function, movement strategies, endurance, and muscle coordination. A plan of care is developed based on this information and you are given a home exercise program to start.
Follow-up Sessions: We continue our plan of care by assessing your progress each visit and addressing any concerns one-on-one. Treatment can include hands on manual soft tissue techniques to address any musculoskeletal dysfunction present, dry needling, use of any modalities such as electrical stimulation, patient education, and updated exercises to help you learn how to manage your symptoms and progress towards your goals.
Concierge Visits: If you think we are too far, can't find a babysitter, on bedrest and in pain, or too hard to travel due to limitations secondary to lymphedema, that's ok. We can come to you! We will bring supplies and set up in your home. We are currently only offering this to our patients who are pregnant, postpartum, or have been diagnosed with lymphedema or oncology.
